Webinar – How to size aeraulic piping networks with FLUIDFLOW software
Join us on May 7th for a webinar in French and learn how to calculate pressure drops for compressible fluids.
Size piping networks and associated equipment for flows of compressible fluids
When a gas flows through a pipe, its velocity, temperature and density vary. The gas accelerates due to the loss of pressure; its density and temperature decrease. In such a system, the conservation equations of mass, energy and momentum cannot be solved analytically without the simplifying assumptions of perfect gas or adiabatic flow, which lead to errors and inaccuracies in the calculations.
By numerically solving the conservation equations taking into account the variation in the thermo-physical properties of the gas, FLUIDFLOW software allows pressure drops to be calculated very accurately, ensuring optimal plant sizing.
Based on a concrete case of an aeraulic network sizing, it will be shown how to:
– draw the piping network;
– use the fluid database to define the flowing gases;
– define the operating conditions;
– size piping networks and equipment (valves, fan);
– take into account thermal phenomena;
– automatically generate a calculation note.
