SMEP webinar – Metallurgical accounting: introduction to basic principles and main applications
As a worldwide expert in metal accounting, CASPEO is invited by the Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP) to animate a webinar series.
These webinars aim to introduce metallurgical accounting basic principles and main applications. They will be held online on November 19th and November 26th, 2020.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippine Mineral Reporting Code Committee (PMRCC) conducted webinars for continuing development of the professionals involved in the mining industry. Part of the PMRCC, the SMEP is in charge to organize webinar series on metal accounting. CASPEO will be pleased to give an introduction on this subject.
What is a metal accounting system
A metal accounting system is the key tool for determining the real performances of a metallurgical installation and achieving operational excellence. Such a system can cover the full production process from the mine to the final smelter and refinery. It provides valuabe information on production performances (recovery rates, mass balances…).
