CASPEO will attend online IMPC Asia-Pacific 2022, the World Conference on mineral processing. The IMPC Asia-Pacific 2022 will be held from August 22-24 at Melbourne. The conference will also be streamed online.

The IMPC Asia-Pacific 2022 is set to bring together mineral processing professionals to connect, learn, share and collaborate on issues facing mineral processing operations. 

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘From Ideas to Implementation’. The main focus will be on the mining industry big challenge: reducing waste and energy consumption.

With 180+ full papers and extended abstracts accepted for presentation, the IMPCAP22 features an extensive technical program showcasing the latest innovations and thinking in the field of mineral processing. Session topics include: separations, comminution, flotation, preconcentration, geometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, processing, mine-to-mill integration, modelling as well as shining a spotlight on Big Data.

An online conference on water quality by CASPEO

Etienne Braak, process and software engineer at CASPEO, will present a paper on “Modelling of water quality impact on flotation performance and potential of improvement: case of a Cu-Ni flotation plant“.

“Water management is a key strategic driver of mineral processing plant operations. Its importance keeps increasing along with global economic and environmental concerns, leading to the need of reusing process waters within plants. To address this issue in the frame of the European project ITERAMS, a prototype model of flotation plant that accounts for impact of water quality on process performance was developed as a tool to simulate recycling scenarios.”
