Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration: short course on metal accounting in 2023

CASPEO will be part of a panel of mining industry experts presenting a short course on metal accounting at the annual meeting of the the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) Nevada MPD section. The short course will be held on August 24, 2023 at Reno (USA).

A short course on metallurgical accounting and data management

 The Nevada MPD (NV MPD) section is an unit of the American Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, Inc. Its purpose is to provide technical development for mineral processing professionals and to promote advances in methods and techniques for process improvements, cost reductions, and project development.

Every year, the NV MPD organizes an annual meeting under its motto “sustaining the legacy of process excellence”. This year, the short course part of the meeting, will be focused on metallurgical accounting and data management. It will be held on August 24, 2023 at Reno.

Metallurgical balance: “Where’s the gold or other metal?”

This short course is based on the idea that every metallurgist should be ready to defend the process plant metallurgical balance. It aims to emphasize the importance of sampling and data management in the metallurgical accounting process.

This short course will be presented by a number of industry professionals, including Marie-Véronique DURANCE from CASPEO. She will share our experience in implementing compliant metal accounting systems. More than 20 in 13 years!
